Toppatall is a stunning beach located on the western side of Storjungfruns, approximately 3 km from Fyrhamnen. This picturesque destination offers a magnificent natural environment with well-marked hiking trails for visitors to explore.

If you're interested in staying overnight, you can book the Toppatallstugan cottage online through svenskaturistforeningen.se. Affiliated with STF, the Swedish Tourist Association, this cozy cottage is situated right on the beach, providing a perfect getaway. It features 8 beds, including two family bunk beds (120cm lower bunk and 90cm upper bunk), as well as a sofa bed that can be converted into a double bed.
Storjungfrun Island stretches approximately 3.5 km in a north-south direction and spans 1.5 km in width. The island boasts around 14 km of well-defined trails, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in its relatively unexplored and diverse landscape. The area is rich in flora and holds significant historical value, making it an ideal destination for outdoor activities and recreation.
At Storjungfrun's largest sandy beach, you'll find barbecue areas, jetties, and an environmental toilet. This beach is a popular spot for boaters, who often visit for day trips and bathing.
Storjungfrun offers a wide range of land types, including bare rocks, pebble fields, dry and boulder-rich moraine land, limestone-affected fertile land, and several wetlands. The smaller islands surrounding Storjungfrun serve as crucial resting places for migratory birds and breeding grounds for various bird species.
The island also encompasses cultural and historical treasures, such as a 17th-century chapel, remnants of old ports dating back to the 16th century, and Sweden's last coal-fired lighthouse.

Low season: 750 SEK/day (800 SEK/day for non-STF members)
High season (weeks 25-34): 850 SEK/day (900 SEK/day for non-STF members)
Round-trip boat fare: 280 SEK/person, 140 SEK/child (0-12 years old)
When renting a cabin at Storjungfrun, Toppatall, please note the following practical information:
Check-in time for the cabins is at 15:00.
Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the cottage and other buildings.
Remember to bring drinking water as there is a freshwater well near the cabin for cooking, washing up, and cleaning.
Since there is no shop on the island, it's essential to bring your own food and drinks. The cabin provides a refrigerator with a small freezer compartment and a gas stove. If you need supplies, you can conveniently shop online at ICA Nära Nyplan in Sandarne, which is well-stocked with a pharmacy, ATM, and gas station. You can choose to pick up your items in-store or have them delivered to the taxi boat for a delivery fee. Visit www.ica.se/nyplan for more information.

To reach Toppatall, you can take a taxi boat, which operates on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays. It's recommended to book the taxi boat in connection with your cottage reservation. The boat departs from Stenö guest harbor
Departure from Stenö guest harbor is around 14:00.On the return trip, the boat departs from Toppatall at approximately 15:15.
