The Inauguration of the Gävle Goat
A warm welcome to the most festive and magical event of the year as the Gävle Goat is traditionally inaugurated on Stortorget in Gävle on the first Sunday of Advent, clearly signaling that Christmas begins in Gävle!
On stage on Stortorget, the nationally renowned artist Lisa Nilsson will usher in the Christmas spirit, the Sodium Dance Crew will showcase world-class dance, and our local parasport association, KF Heros, will inaugurate the Gävle Goat with grandeur. All under the guidance of Magnus Carlsson, emcee and Gävle personality with a special fondness for festive shows and sing-alongs.
Before the inauguration, Lisa Nilsson sends a greeting to everyone:
"I'm really looking forward to kicking off Christmas in Gävle and being part of the venerable tradition with the Gävle Goat!"
The prestigious task of inaugurating this year's Gävle Goat has been assigned to KF Heros. It is a local association for people with disabilities, founded in 2006, organizing various sports activities and arranging events for an active leisure time, such as discos and the Funkis Festival.
"We are very proud and happy to inaugurate this year's Gävle Goat," says Mattias Bergdahl, association consultant at KF Heros.
